    Jon,
Confirm with Boyd's but, yes, you should be fine with that stock.

Thanks sir. I called to confirm with Boyd's earlier today and the only person available was one of the ladies who normally just handles the phone orders, etc. She did know a little bit about firearms, but couldn't give me a 100% definite answer. She did give me her info. and told me if the stock didn't fit, I could send it back and explain to them that I had chatted with her. Seem like good people there.

Now I just have to sell my other H&H so I can afford to customize this one. [:D]

Try the internet site as you should be able to email a question and get a more in deapth answer. Better yet, Boyds has been offering externally finished stocks for a price. I have one of their JRS classic brown laminate stocks on my 338winmag and it is great. Just don't forget to have it checkered. I think that checkering is very importand on stocks/rifles with heavy recoiling cartridges.

Got a Boyd's JRS Classic for my Howa .308. I glass bedded it and it shoots better than I do. Boyd's makes quality stocks including many used as OEM stocks by manufacturers.
