I have a type 38 Arisaka that was rebarreled to a 257 Roberts. Rifle shoots great; when it shoots. Every three or four rounds it will not ignite one. I have tried two different boxes of ammo and still the same. Nice dimple in the primer, but no bang. Solutions?

You probably have turned the ejector/ line it up with the rail and slide it in while holding the bolt removal piece on the left of receiver...

Holding the gun in a normal shooting position....Bolt handle [knob]
should be at 12:00, sticking straight up. The long extractor that slides around the bolt should be over the one front locking lug towards
your right. Push bolt in, it will only go in about 1 inch , then you must depress the bullet lifter tray in the magazine down to allow it to go all the way in.

There is a lever on the left side of the receiver, it is a bar with a thumb catch that must be pushed out to install the bolt. With everything lined up correctley the bolt should silde into position.

push down on the follower, that's the piece that pushes up the cartridges from the bottom.
