Daisy VL 22
Just got a Daisy VL 22 air rifle with some other items in a trade. Looks brand new, no box. The only one I can find on the auction side has a wood stock, and is a presentation model. Mine has a plastic stock, anyone have an idea about value.

It's not a air rifle. With out the special ammo it was made for, it just a wall hanging decorator. It might be sellable if you got some of the original ammo as part of the trade? The ammo comes packed in plastic tubes in a rectanguler cardboard box. 0 -

The ammo can be had on the auction side, and on flea bey, price runs about $13.00 per 100.

NAZebay won't let anyone sell ammo or anything to do with a bullet going down a barrel since the NUT shot the students at VT. He bought two mags for his Walther P-22 there[V][xx(][:(!][B)] 0 -
I bought one when they were new. Rather poor accuracy & one problem was if you didn't fire there is no extractor. You have to open the breech & push the round out with a cleaning rod. Even when they were being made it wasn't easy to find ammo & it was more expensive than regular .22s. It didn't take me very long to sell it & except for the novelty value I couldn't see any reason to buy one now. 0 -
I have an unfired presentation model, original hard case, wall hanger hooks, couple cases of ammo, and hanging price tag. I don't know why though, makes no sense whatsoever, but since it takes up just a little corner of the man cave, it can stay. 0 -
Blue Book says the Standard model is $250 for one in 100% and $225 for one in 98%. The Presentation models are about $100 more and the Collectors models about $300 more in 100% condition. I see the Standard and Presentation models and the ammo here periodically.
I bought a standard model that had about 3000 rounds of ammo with it at an auction about 20 years ago for $50. I shot about 100 rounds through it and put it away. I've considered selling some of the ammo but not sure how UPS, FedEx or USPS would categorize it for shipping.0 -
As the guys have said- NOT an air rifle. It shoots a CASELESS 22 cartridge. Looks like a 22 bullet with a dab of yellow bubblegum stuck to the back of the bullet. Compression of air makes it hot enuff to ignite the poprellant. Rounds came 10 in a plastic soda straw sort of holder, and have been out of production for some time. Can still find once in a while as colelctors items. 0 -
And the trigger pull is like a bad BB gun rather than a nice rifle, it doesn't do a thing for accuracy, besides spoil it. 0
