engraved steyr mannlicher value

I have a Steyr Daimler Pugh, and I am trying to determine the value of it. I believe this is an MCA. It is chambered in 30-06. I was told from the previous owner that it was engraved in Germany. Does anyone recognize the engraver? I read that a Master Engraver is the only one authorized to initial their work. I can't find an engravers mark anywhere. Any help with the engraver and the value of the Rifle would be greatly appreciated.

  WOW this rifle may be OVER THE TOP for some folks taste, but IMHO close to being a MUSEUM grade piece. Value would be VERY HARD to place as these things do not change hands that often . It would make a nice GIVE-AWAY on the General forum.[}:)][:I]

  This may or may not be true in Europe but it is not here in the U.S. Most engravers worth a hoot sign their work either inconspicuously or prominently as their ego dictates.

  No. The oak leaf is a very common element in European wood carving and engraving. Your example is not as dimensional as some I've handled. The leaves are two-dimensional with only the veins delineating the leaf form. They have good relief from the background and stippling in the background appears to be consistent.
  
  Is it outstanding or exceptional? No.
  
  The best element on the entire rifle is the stag and it is a very nice representation and execution.
