Rifle Overall Length

Yeah, I should know this and did but forgot! Barrel 16+" but overall?

  According to the Feds it's 26" overall. Some states have their own law, like Michigan, where it's longer. Michigan I just found out, a little while ago, is 30". Talk about having a bad day if you didn't know that one.[}:)]

  Also, on a post a month or so ago someone asked a state law question and I stated 31". I went back and found that was another state with a minimum length (can't remember which state). I quoted the state law not the Federal law.[B)]

  I have not seen the state one saying 30(1)" length.
  
  The feds consider OAL from the longest point, ie folded stock in the extended position.
  Some states consider the OAL from the shortest point ie folded stock in the folded position.
