.50 BMG & .416 Barrett chambered rifles-PICS
For those of us still interested in either the .50 BMG rifles or the newer .416 Barrett cartridge, here is a new entrant into this market. The prices are surprisingly reasonable. The URL is at the bottom of this post.
This is a simple yet effective design for large cartridge, single shot rifles which is capable of providing excellent accuracy at longer ranges. These are being manufactured by Pete Noreen in his shop in Belgrade, MT:
"The Noreen Rifle chambered for 50 BMG and 416 Barrett was designed to utilize quality high grade 4140 steel and precision components, in a simple but cost effective manner. The components are made in-house in our state-of-the-art machine shop that includes CNC Mills, CNC Lathes and EDM machines. What we have come up with is a unique, innovative 50 BMG and 416 Barrett that are capable of shooting great distances accurately and effectively with minimal recoil (comparable to a 243). Our 50 BMG and 416 Barrett are the most cost effective on the market, but with bench rest quality features such as lapped bolt lugs. We believe that quality and reliability can be had at a reasonable price. Made in the U.S.A."
