Estimated value of guns

I am trying to get rid of several rifle's and shotguns. Some of which may be of some significant value to a collector. Where is the best place to get an estimated value range of guns?

    do a search on the auction site here and check on completed sales for each rifle or pistol that you are trying to value.

    If you sell your guns on an internet auction site like here at Gunbrokers. Then you SHOULD have detailed in focus pictures from all angles with all proof marks and writing to get the best price. So why don't you get some free practice and post pictures here on this forum and we will be able to give you idea of value and also opinion on how good your pictures are.

    You can buy a copy of "The Gun Traders Guide" at Wal Mart for about $20. to get the "Book Values". That should get you in the ballpark range.
    But the advise on using the auctions here at GB for "Real World" prices is the best.
    Just remember to check only the COMPLETED AUCTIONS of guns that ACTUALLY SOLD. And that the buyer also paid shipping charges and possible FFL fee's on top of the bid price. In general,you can add about $50. to the bid price in terms of what the buyer was actually willing to pay for the gun to get in his hands.
