Where did all...

...the P1 barrels go? There are a lot of P1 parts kits for sale (Centerfire Systems, Cheaper Than Dirt, etc.), and they've been selling them for years now, but they don't include barrels. Somehow, a P1 barrel rarely comes up for sale, but there should be as many of those as there are slides or other parts. Even the frames have appeared for sale in lots of 5 at $125 per lot (and have re-appeared for sale in other auctions at $125 each), but no barrels...

The guns were obviously broken down here, after importation, because of the frames which have been put up for sale.

Any ideas?

    I don't know who imported what or when, but....my guess is that it is related to the BATFE July 13, 2005 OPEN LETTER TO FEDERALLY LICENSED FIREARMS IMPORTERS,(etc), which, basicly said that you can no longer import receivers OR barrels if they are for a firearm that cannot be imported because it is not suitable for sporting purposes. This ruling was initially felt when imported AK barrels dried up.
