Vortex Binoculars
I'm looking to purchase a new set of binoculars for hunting elk/deer. My bro-in-law recently purchased a pair of Vortex Viper 10x42. I've been really impressed with them when I've looked through them, but I was curious if anyone here has any experience with them? Thanks for any thoughts/opinions.

This is a review by a bino dealer, and they like it. It seems fair but cannot be called unbiased since they want to sell you a pair. Do a lot of internet searching among optics dealers as you can often find $100 differences in price with a little search time. This is not the reviewer I originally thought it was.0 -

Get onto the Birdwatching websights, they are extremely particular about their optics. The binos they use must show great detail, clarity and correct colors...look at what they recommend!
A really nice pair that you may want to look thru is the new Nikon Monarch X, in 8 and 10 power. I bought a pair of the 10x45's and they are super at dawn and dusk. Even a $75 pair of binos will look ok in the light of day, but its dawn and dusk where the good binos stand out from the junk.0
