How does one confirm that a 75 round Kalashnikov drum is indeed a ChiCom drum?

    chicom drums open from the back..but there are now bulgarian drums that were made on chicom machines on the market..also the new korean ones too..russkies and romanian load fron the top

    This one is pretty typical of he ChiCom 75 round drums:

    Bulgarian drums have the circle 10 emblem on them, So you know who made them...


    I havent seen any of the korean drums, so I dont know what markings, or lack of markings they have. they open at the back like chinese and bulgarian drums

    OK, I have them in front of me now. The ones I have are the same as those, except for the markings on the hinged cover and the winding key. Mine have the number 36 inside of a triangle were yours has the arrow and an arrow where yours has the numbers. My winding key has no cut-out. I searched a little and found out that they are Chinese. I also read that these are an earlier version. Can you confirm that?

    Thanks for the responses, it's nice to ask a specific question and get a knowledgeable response instead of a "use the search function" post. I did search, BTW.

    The number 36 inside a triangle is a Chinese factory code, but I can't recall which factory. None of these ChiCom drums have been imported for 15 years and there is a lot of interest in them. Put your drum up o auction and you should do well.
