Rem 700 CBD

Does anyone have any info on 1975 CBD rem 700 in 222 cal?CBD is Rem Custom shop ? Thanx KJ

  Of all the different versions of Rem 700 I haven't seen that one. It might well be.
  
  What I have here is what Remington posts on their website. Are the letters correct? might possibly be a typo. ...That is if I didn't miss it. Here ya go:

  Thanx Sandwarrior,I see the C in the Rem link you sent, custom shop, I ve been told that CBD is Custom Barreled Deluxe. I don t rely on idle oppinion,as you know everyone has an oppinion. Those of us that have served heard plenty. This gun is marked CBD in the same location and script as a normal BDL would be. It really is driving me up the wall,as I think it s the real deal,but no info on CBD for 1975 or any other year for that matter. Thanx KJ

  CBD = 'Custom Barrelled Deluxe' actually makes sense then. Because if you look at some of the letters on the website they actually are acronyms not just alpha-numeric successions of nomenclature.

  If you go to the main site, and go to Sportsmans Library, and then go to firearms History they have The Remington Society. I've gotten a couple good answers from them.

  Sandwarrior, Yeah, I see what you mean,there is a pattern of letter-nomenclature. I ve gone to that Rem Soc. site but I have trouble getting in. They don t send my password and I can t reregister because I m already using my email address and it denys the access. Life's a glitch, Thanx KJ
