WOW, just found out from Colt

Kathy Hoyt from Colt Archives has retired in June after 44 years there. She was one of the best people you could talk to when you called, I did a lot with her over the years. Happy retirement to an honestly good person and dedicated employee.

  Yep, there was a lot of talk about that over on the Colt Forum when it was first announced. Of all the historians I probably liked Marty Huber the best and I still have a lot of his Archive letters.

  Marty was great. You could call him up and he'd lay the phone down and go look your gun up for you. If you wanted a letter, it was $50 regardless of whether or not it was engraved, owned by a famous person, etc.
  
  Colt honored him by placing his "inspector intials" on the grips of the 1977 Cavalry Commemorative double 1860 .44 Army set.
