i hav a fn hi power argintine contract gun, the rear sight is so small i can hardly see it, i would like to replace it but i cant get the old one out of the slide, been trying a brass punch and hammer but it dont move any sugestions

  I just got this pistol, and am trying to find out when it was made.

  I was able to move the rear sight on my high power by gently warming the slide with a heating pad set on medium, then I held a scewdriver that I had put in the freezer against the sight only. Then I used the hammer and punch. This freed it up for me. Of course I am not a gun smith and your results may vary.....

  You or someone with a steady hand can reshape the V notch with Swiss files to a proper square or U notch.
