Enfield #4 MK I stock
I listed this as a #4 MK I stock. I get an email it is a #4 MK II stock and won't fit a MK I. I bought these as MK I's 11 years ago. I can't tell the difference. Thanks for any help.

I believe the stock difference between the No4 Mk I and the Mk II is that the trigger on the Mk I is attached to the trigger guard, on the Mk II it's attached to the action.
If the stock is for a Mk II I think the trigger guard inlet might be different and there may be a post going left to right through the rear of the stock? Not certain, and can't tell from the photos because the stock is on its side.
There may be other differences such as where the stock bolts on to the frame, not sure.0 -

Unless you posted the wrong picture, this is a No.4 Mk2 stock set and will
not fit a Mk1. Mk1 forearms are sold at the rear and have a metal
reinforcing strap rivited in place.
No.4Mk1's have an extra metal reinforcing lug on the right side of the
receiver and require an extra clearance notch in the forearm. Your forearm
is open at the rear and has no notch. Mk2 forearms use a reinforcing screw
at the rear instead of the Mk1's rivited strap. It looks like yours is
missing the screw. You should change your description and your price,
everyone needs Mk1 stock sets so their price is double the Mk2's
