remington 770 barrel threading question

Does the remingotn 770 have the same threading as the model 700? Thank you, Joe

  The Rem. 770 and its predecessor, the M710, do not have threaded barrels. The design follows the lead of several European makers by using a pressed in barrel, eliminating any changes in the firearm after it leaves the factory. There are virtually no changes or additions that can be made to these rifles.
