NDM-86 (Chiness SVD)

I've bought recently NDM-86 (Chiness SVD) in 7.62x54R and wonder what barrel diameter it has. I can't measure it with a regular caliper because of the flash hider. Russian SVD and Tiger has barrel diameter .312" as well as Russian Mosin rifles. However Finnish Mosin rifles have both diameters -.308" and .312". Belgium Mosin has .308". Chinese makes NDM-86 in 308 NATO. This makes me think that their 7.62x54R might be in .308" as well. The bullet selection in 308 is much better than in 312. Any thoughts or suggestions.[?]

  I have the 7.35 and that is in the 308 range so I would just guess 312 for yours....;.GUESS

  Being its a military rifle in 7.62 X 54, I don't see it being .308. Only way your going to find out is by sluging the barrel. Being it has a fl, not going to be easy. Try to figure out how it attached, maybe you can get it off.
