SMLE 22 adapter

I came accross a .22 adapter kit years ago that fits up to the SMLE No. 1 MK 3 rifle. I was told that that it came from Numrich, but can't confirm it. The set consists of a barrel, bolt and a wooden storage tray. I have tried it in my rifle, but it's kind of like kissing your own sister (not too much fun). Looks military, but I cannot find any markings (chicken foot) anywhere. What would something like this be worth, and would this work on the No.4 rifle?

  I suspect if it works on the Mk.III it will work on the IV.
