Gas vs. Piston AR Upper ...
... I'm going today to purchase a LWRC 10.5" piston driven upper for my SBR (got a great deal on this one). Ive been using gas operated uppers until now, but want to try a piston driven upper to have better operating short-barreled weapons (yes, I have my tax stamps from BATF).
Do I need to modify my lower in any way (such as buffer plug or something else) to ensure a flawless conversion from gas to piston?
Any and all help and information will be useful and thanks for your help in advance.

Maybe, What buffer is currently in the gun?
What I would do before taking it apart and buying a new buffer would be to see if it cycles. If it cycles your good to go. If not, then buy a new one.0 -
I don't think a new buffer is necessary. I'd contact LW just to make sure, though. 0
