JAE-100 M14 stock

Hi guys! My first post here but I've been reading the forums for a while. I've been looking into a custom M14 biuld and was thinking about the JAE stock. I think they look really nice and all the reviews I cound find on the web were positive. I was wondering if the rear lug on the receiver would make a difference in this stock. I found a few people say that the lug does not matter with this stock. Anyone know for sure? I'm sure I'll end up contacting the manufacturer but thought I'd ask here first. If not, it could save me 100 bucks or so. Going to be ordering a LRB M25 receiver before too long so I can get in line and wait for probably 8 months or so. Be prepared for lots of M14 type questions. I know about the "other" forum but can't handle the format of it. I was really into garands until I got a m1a last year. I'm in the process of gathering some usgi m14 parts to be used in a custom, match grade m14 clone. I'm just not into "black rifles". I'm going to go all out and get an LRB m25 receiver with a JAE stock. Not sure what twist I'll go with for the barrel yet or whom I'm going to use to put it all together yet or scope-hint...more questions later. It will be a work in progress for a year or so. Can't afford to do it all at once. Thanks for all you help in advance.

    Have LRB do the build. They'll have all the parts. You'll pay, but you were going to send the parts to LRB do do the build, anyway, correct?

    Let them accomplish the task of locating the parts! (Actually, they have the parts in stock, ready for the in-house build). One-stop shopping. Lots to be said about that. Best, Joe

    The rear lug on the receiver does not improve accuracy; it just means that you will be able to fire more rounds before you have to re-do the bedding.

    I don't know who I'll have do the build for me at this time. The parts I'm buying are trw, just because I want a trw bolt, op rod, and trigger group. Right now I'm more interested in the stock and whether or not a rear lug make a difference in the JAE stock. The few I've found say it doesn't matter with this stock. I've seen the JAE stock on LRB's website. May have to ask them and JAE and see what they say.

    Nmyers seem to discount your statment about the lug not mattering. When you glass the receiver into the stock the lug creates a better area around which to secure the receiver to the stock. Firing the rifle with out the lug will require you to have the rifle rebedded sooner than a lugged receiver. A little cost cutting feature to consider.
