I have an 1892 Winchester rifle, 38-40(38WCF), full octagon barrel , full magazine, crescent steel butt, SN 220XX. I believe this is very early manufacture. Can someone tell me the year made? TIA

1895. If you want the exact date, provide me with the complete serial number, or use the link to the Cody Firearms Musuem on my signature line, and buy a factory letter.
