.308win beta drums?

A couple of years ago Beta mag said they would be introduceing 308win sized beta drums for the m14, AR-10,FAl and G3. What ever happened to that? I have been looking for them and All I ever saw was about 10 M1A drums all sold by one distributor.

Does anyone sell them?
Does beta even make them?
Are they ever going to make them?

Well this is all I have been able to find.

But it was my understanding was that several feed lip styles where interchangable so that you could use them with multiple weapones systems.


I've noticed that to Dick, Also that they arent makeing drums for the AUG anymore.

    They have them on the web site for the M-14.
    They used to have different towers for the 5.56's but I don't see them anymore.

    I've seen one at a local range (M1A), but did not inquire as to where they had gotten it from. To my eyes Those devices are better suited for the smaller caliber/closer in arms.

    Allied Armaments sells a 50 rd drum for the HK 308 rifles that works.
    As far as I know the Beta is vaporware.

    i saw an add in shotgun news sayinf beta drums for m14/fal/gl rifles was coming soon. cant imagin carrying 100rds of 308 ammo around in a gun that alreads weighs 10lbs. and isnt that much weight hard on whatever part it is that holds the mamg in place??

    That ad has been running for three years.
    I will believe beta when I see one.
    And I like the 50 round much better than the 100 rd mag idea.
    The 50 for my HK MG is fairly heavy.
    The 100 would be HEAVY.

    I mainly want a couple for my collection, I collect drums and other gun noveties... A 9 pound FAL and 9 pound drum would not be fun to hump. I have seen the AA drums, and considered buying one or two of them as well. Right now I am saveing up for a 150rnd AR-15 drum. I was just curious if someone had found a distributor that actually had some of the betas.
