How do I determine the poundage for an AR (9mm) recoil spring?

A friend wants to load some 9mm ammo for me but says he needs that to ensure he doesn't under or over load the charge.

Wolff carries recoil springs with different ratings for the 9mm Colt. I would either buy a assortment or just one with the highest rating. Their not that expensive and saves yourself the aggravation of trying to figure out the ratings of the springs you have now.

9mm colt likes a hot round. 9mm nato is made for the AR.
it's loaded 10% higher than standard 9mm.
my colt loves the stuff.
