Bda browing/beretta cheetah

Is the browning bda that was made in italy the same gun as the beretta cheetah 84 is the bda single/double action like the beretta?

  Same pistol and the same DA/SA except that (at the time) the Browning retailed for about 100 bucks more than the Beretta.

  If I remember correctly? Besides the markings the only deference is the slide. The Browning/FN version had a slide that was closed on top that completely shrouded the barrel. The Beretta had a open top slide, similar in appearance to their earlier pistols.

  I think you'll also find the Browning had a slide-mounted safety, and the Beretta was frame-mounted..
