Tank Round/Shell

Can someone help me identify this shell. It is betwen 88mm - 89mm round. The powder has been removed and replaced with wood. There is a date code on the rim of the shell "1943".

    Is it shaped like the 2nd from the left (the brass colored one) or the 3rd from the left?
    #2 is the 88x822 from a Tiger-2 (King Tiger), #3 is the 88x571 from the dual purpose (AA/AT) and Tiger-1.

    As a FYI, #1 is a post war US 90x600, #4 is a German 75x495 High Velocity and #5 is the US 75x350 (Sherman tank gun).

    Here's another view, with the projectles in place (#6 in this photo is a US 105mm case)

    Or you could go here and identify it by the dimentions (mouth diameer, case length and rim diameter, all in mm)

    I just posted two pictures but they are small. Not sure what I am doing wrong. But yes they do look like the one on the left.

    Any clue what this thing is worth?

    I was going to clean the brass up and paint the top, but someone told me that it is worth a lot of money and to leave it alone.

    I am rally not looking to sell it, but I don't to hurt the value of it either.

    The markings say US to me.
    Can you measure the diameter over the driving bands (brass belts just above the case) and the case length?

    You were told correctly about not cleaning/painting it, but "high value" is a relitive thing (I paid $40 for my 75mm inert round, and $400 for my 88mm inert round)

    Go there and see if you can identify it. They are designated by the projectle diameter & case length (Tony also includes the rim diameter to help identify those that have been ut down)

    The diameter at the band is 78.54mm the over all lenght is 901.69.

    I would agree that it is us from the writing.

    I was told it was worth around 2k but I thought that was HIGH..

    Again, I don't plan on sell it just nice to know the value.

    Sorry I read your post wrong the case length is 584.19.

    At the bottom of bullet head above the case this stamped in the brass

    Lot CSA-19-1943-3"m62 PAS
