New AR Manufacturers
As of late, I have noticed several new AR makers, e.g.-CMMG, Daniel Defense, etc). I am familiar with the all the oldies like Colt, Bushy, Armalite, DPMS. How do the new companies compare in quality to the oldies? Are there any to avoid?

Only ones I am aware of to avoid is Hesse/Vulcan/Blackthorn, in any gun especially .50 BMG. I know Century was putting some out too. Not sure who made theirs but Century quality can be hit or miss.
Most places get there parts from the same handful of makers and have their name stamped on them.0 -
CMMG has been around for several years. Daniel Defense, the company has been around for several years, making high quality accessories. As Nwcid sad, there are only so many manufacturers of parts.
So what you may be seeing as new, aren't really new just not as common as other companies.0 -
Just bought a 6.8 Remington Spc from CMMG this is really a nice gun, they have been around longer than you think.
Also Daniel defense is of excellent quality and not cheap by any means.
The ones to stay away from have already been mentioned.0 -
Handled the new Ruger a week ago. Looks as good as others. As with any new Ruger, time will tell. 0
