Remington 591 - 5mm mag - repost

Hello, I am new to this forum but thought I would try to see if I can find some answers. I have a Rem.5mm Mag. I inherited it from my Father last year and it was his favorite gun...(in the 70's when you could still buy ammo). Now that the ammo is being produced again, I am restoring the gun in memory of my father (he would love to see it shooting again) but I need some parts and cant find them anywhere. I am looking for a trigger and safety latch. I have tried a few parts sites but there seems to be nothing out there. Is there some place I should be looking or calling to see it the parts are in fact available. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    I should have mentioned that rufe-snow and 5mmgunguy informed me the model 580, 581, and 582 parts will work with this action as well so if anyone has any of these parts it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Gasman12. Welcome to the forum. Have your tried gunparts.com? They may not have one now but try frequently. Also may want to do a search on Remington Arms...they have a list of parts dealers who have Remington parts for various rifle/shotguns. I know I have found a Rem 760 clip for a .223Rem that way. Good luck...I will keep my eyes open for you. Also the moderator for this section is really good, he may be able to help too.

    I went to the Wanted Section and pasted a WTB for the trigger, if I get a lead I will let you know.
