Rare Colt Need Feedback ASAP

I have a govt model SN C177923, that has a slide that reads Marina Argentina COLT Automatic Calibre .45
Colt's PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.
PAT'D APR 20 1897/ SEPT. 9, 1902. DEC. 19. 1905. FEB 14. 1911. AUG 19.1913


Engraved on the bottom of the magazine well is KASC GBORO NC

I don't think the slide and the frame match according to the serial number. The gun is in 60% condition at best.

Does anyone have any idea as to the value??? The guy only wants $500 for it.

    It's a fairly recent import because of the importers markings on the bottom of the grip. If it's finish wise in original condition, i.e. not reblued or reworked, I would say it was worth it. If it's been reworked, refinished etc. It's just another mismatched Argentine parts gun. The serial number dates to the mid 30's. I don't have any record of any commercial Colts being sold to Argentina military after 1927, they were in the C140000 to C145000 range. To be sure check under the firing pin retainer to see if the slide serial number matches the frame.

    IMO,obviously, mismatch,,,500 would be tops........shooter 45.--400 would be better..nambu

    IMHO I would not say this was RARE but rather a number of parts put together as a shooter. Sorry. [:(]

    offer him $385.00, that is about what all the parts are worth

    Thank you all for your input.
    I ended up offering him $400.00, the Army Surplus had offered him $350.00. He told them of my offer for $400 and they offered $450, so I let it go to them. The reason I was asking for input was the book value said 1000.00 for the SN range but I couldn't find anything on the Marina Argentina in the book so I wasn't sure if an unmatched slide. I did find this with a google search about the Marina Argentina but was unsure how reliable it was. Also the SN range didn't fall in line with the description.

    8) Colt M1911 Argentine: S/N C6201 to C11621 = 1914, S/N C20,001 to C21000 = 1916
    S/N C86790 to C116000 = 1919 ( 321 shipped in 1914 marked on right side of slide
    with "MARINA ARGENTINA". In 1915 another 1000 shipped within above S/N
    range. In 1919 another 400 M1911 Colts shipped in above S/N range. Imported into
    the U.S. in 1960 as surplus but very rare in any condition.)
