Browning Buckmark Bullseye problem

I have a Browning Buckmark Bullseye and the slide is almost impossible to pull back initially. Once it has been cocked, it moves fine, but it takes a real hard pull on the slide, and I can't do it every time. Is there something I'm just not seeing?

(yes, I am pressing the slide release when cocking)

    You are not MISSING any thing just extra effort needed to cock the hammer my suggestion is to cock it first and use the slide hold open before installing the loaded magazine also push with one hand and pull with the other with pistol right in front of your belly button . doing this with no magazine makes this a safe way because the barrel is not pointed down range but rather sideways.
