Bullseye 1911 barrel ID
I'm going to accurize my GC 1911 . I was wondering if the barrel was good enough ? Is there a certain size ID that is the minimum required for Bulleye accuarcy? I don't know how much the GC has been shot.
I can use a lathe at work and make me a couple ID gauges. Of course the obvious answer would be to shoot in a ransom rest and see what kind of grouping I get... I'm calling gun ranges ,but no luck so far. central ohio..

Hello The best barrels to get are either the Barstow Marine match grade with one low and one high top locking lug and oversize bottom lugs if you are going to shoot Ball ammo. The Kart match barrel same style is thought to be better for lead loads. The Id and Od of the barrel is just part of what you need the locking lugs need to be over size as well as the hood you need little to no movement of both the front as well as the back of the barrel when the slide is closed/locked.after fitting the barrel. 0
