whats this TERNI
i have a rifle i cant track in the gun books it is a 1941 xix 6.5 caliber terni marked bp7815 the logo looks to be a coat of arms but i cant match it to any trademarks ive seen.it came with a few cartridges marked norma 6.5 carno .anyone know what it is?

It's a Italian Army rifle, better known to collectors as a Carcano.

Standard military issue rifle for the Italians during WWII - if you google "Carcano Rifle" you'll get tons of info. There were many different models made starting in 1891 I believe.
BTW, the Carcano rifle (Type 38 carbine I believe)used in the Kennedy shooting is housed in the National Archives. That the rifle was ordered under a false name was the government's stated legal reason for keeping the rifle as opposed to returning it, at some point after it was no longer needed as evidence, to Oswald's wife. I would expect the government was eager to keep the rifle as opposed to his ex-wife being able to publicly auction the thing off to the highest bidder.0 -
And Terni was the name of the govt arsenal in Italy that built them. 0
