Colt wood grain boxes

Does anyone know what year Colt stopped using the wood grain two-piece boxes for the series 80 1911? Also, what's the progression through the eighties (when were the maroon "150 year" boxes used, the first year of the blue plastic boxes, etc.)? As long as I'm asking, does anyone happen to know what year the serial number FC10xxx from a series 80 Combat Commander was made (or anything about the "FC" prefix)? Thanks
