    I see this type of gun at many estate sales. If there are NO markings on it, they never sell for more than $35. bob

    It is percussion box lock pocket pistol that could date from 1840-1870. Condition looks to be in as-found original complete poor to fair condition. If the mechanism cocks and trigger holds, etc it is probably worth $100, more or less depending on who, where, when, etc.

    It is functional and it appears to be a .44 cal smooth bore. There aren't any markings anywhere that I can see. So 1840 to 1870...
