best bipod for ar ???

right now i have this heavy metal one. it folds and extends..any suggestion on a light weight polymer one???? thanks

  Not polymer, but USGI spring-loaded "el-cheepo". Very light. Clamps onto the barrel with spring pressure. They are pre-set to be at the correct hight for prone shooting (fit to the gas piston of an M-14). Best, Joe

  I am a fan of the Harris Model L bipods.
  
  The Harris is an all around good "industry standard" bipod.

  As suggested above the Harris L(s) is the standard by which all others are measured.
  
  with A QD mount, attached to a small bit of picatinny rail bolted on through the vent holes in the bottom of the hanguard, you can easily remove/replace the Harris in 5 seconds.. I find that a qd bipod makes it easier and quicker to transport or reconfigure a rifle,

  That is the fastest and cheapest highest quality way to mount a harris QD that I know of.
  
  
  another good one to look at is the Kengs Versa pod/vertical grip combo, Or a versa pod and vent hole adapter.. I like the FM vertical grip adapter because it allows for horizontal swiveling and quick detach of the bipod.

  THE BEST ! not cheap, nor polymer, and not a burdensome heavy, just the best damn Bi-pod ever...., in my OPINION
