Hi I am thinking of buying a usp compact in 9mm. What is the LEM trigger and is it on all new usp compacts? Also what do you think of the gun? Any others to compare it to?

    Hello all, hopefully someone out there with more knowledge can help me!

    I just bought my second H&K USP Compact LEM.....

    I have a question: Both are the same model, but bought about two years apart.... on the most newest one after the serial number are the letters "DE" which I'm assuming means it was made in Germany....Is that correct? There are some other very slight differences, such as another marking where the old one says "Heckler & Koch, made in Germany" the newer one says "HK Sidearms GmbH, made in Germany"

    Is one "better" than the other one? Is one more valuable than the other one?

    Generally on German Proof Marks, the two capitalized letters are actually the date of proof, using letters instead of numerals. I don't have recent dates, ( post 1998 ), in my references. Your other one should also be dated with capital letters.
