Help ID a non US Military Rifle

I have a 49" long rifle with no bolt. I see no writing or references to countries, but there is a very prominant design on the breech. Any info would be appreciated.

  It's Mauser M98 made for Argentina.

  Yes it is the 1909 Argentine Mauser, 7.65mm.

  It also has the Ricchieri Adapter designed by Argentine Gen. Pablo Ricchieri to allow use of M1893 style bayonets with later M1898 rifles. Often found pinned to the bayonet lug of Spanish M1943 Short Rifles too.

  Ditto. Worth getting a bolt (any 98 straight handle Mauser bolt will do) and carefully buffing the rust off. These are worth upwards of $400 in nice shape.
  
  Originally it should have had a white receiver. Someone re-blued it. Many times they also reamed it to 30-06, so it's worth checking that.

  Access search function above for "Naval Jelly", and "Kroil" (ref: deplorable condition).
  
  After you get it into firing condition, go after the jerk that stored it.

  Thanks for all of that great info! I got this from a storage auction. I still have a lot of boxed to rumage through. If I don't find the bolt, I'll probably part it out.
