where could i find a military styled nylon sling for a m1a? also where could i find a similar sling that fits on the studs on my 10/22? 0 -
Not specifically answering your question....check out the Vickers Tactical Sling...its a rapid adjustment 2 pt sling, comes in various colors and I have two and love them....you can find them at blueforcegear.com, they are around $60...I bought my first there, but found another on ebay for $35.00, Its really high quality nylon webbing...good stuff!
they have plenty of length...have one on my M-4 style Ar and one on a Mossberg 930 SPX....they have a quick release as well, well thought out design0 -
Also completely not answering the question, a wise man said that if you need an instruction manual to figure out how to use your rifle sling, something is wrong.
Back in the day in Israel, new military recruits weren't issued rifle slings (deliberately) both to save money, and to teach them to be field expedient. Sure you could go buy one, but the traditional "remedy" was to go to the junkyard, salvage a piece of car seat belt, and rig up your own. I kid you not.
Anyway, to actually answer the question, if you go to the auction site (eg here) and search for "M1A nylon sling", you'll come up with a few likely hits for about $20.
