    I would say that the rifle's been restored at some point. And I agree on the checkering. I can't wait to hear Bert's opinion.

    OK,

    The checkering on the stocks is not factory work, the scope blocks are not original, the front sight is not original, and the rear sight is missing.

    On the plus side, it has a factory single-set trigger, and a shotgun butt stock. The case colors are original.

    The current bid is slightly above what the rifle is worth.

    Yep, that checkering is pretty poor. Check me if I am wrong Bert, but I am thinking those toes are not factory either.

    I would hope they DON'T come with the rifle, They're pretty ugly {edit: SCARY AND NON-STANDARD} and might devalue it even more[:D]
