Remington 870 express magnum

Hello all! Cool forum, glad to be here. I recently traded for an 870 with tactical package(aftermarket)It has collapsible pistol grip stock, trirail forend with pump handle, laser sight, xenon light. The thing is near perfect condition. I was wondering, what it is worth?
I registered at gunbroker.com, and as far as i can tell, I can legally sell it there. please tell me if I am mistaken.

  Most guys with the tricked out HD shotguns seem to want to customize them themselves rather than buying at a premium anothers build up.
  
  I would add up the cost of all the aftermarket add ons (except the stock and forearm) on your shotgun and multiply it by about 1/4, add that total to the average of a good synthetic stocked Remington 870 express magnum selling second hand. Probably about $240 plus the 1/4 value of the add ons. Try searching Gunbroker for Remington 870 12 ga and click on "Completed auctions". Then have it put them in order with the most bids first. Ignore those with no bids, doesn't matter what they are asking for them, it's only the ones that sell that matter.
  
  You might find it more lucrative to take the add ons (those easily removed) off the gun and sell them separately from the firearm. You can sell them easily on Gunbroker also.
  
  There should be no issues selling your complete shotgun on Gunbroker as long as it is over 18" barrel and 27" overall although the collapsible pistol grip stock may be an issue in some locales. Caveat your auction to make the legality of ownership the buyers responsibility and don't ship it until you have good funds in hand.

  Thanks for the response dan. Lots of good info there. I cant believe we once lived without the internet. So I take it that it is standard procedure to get funds first, then ship the item.

  New sellers need to read the Gunbroker FOR SELLERS tutorial. It explains everything you need to know, especially the legalities. If there is any deviation from these instructions that you do not understand & agree with, check with us first.
  
  There is no, "Ooops, my bad" when it comes to firearms laws; mistakes can lead to a cell in a federal facility.

  Yeah... good advice. I did read it. The "oops... my bad theory" is exactly why I asked anyways. Federal prison is directly in contradiction with my future goals. Thanks for all the info guys.
