Great Western 22 hornet...pt 2
Been out of town for a few days. Just wanted to say thanks to all who participated...
Rufe-snow... appreciate the link and did learn a thing or two. First of all I have the boxes shown with end of box info tag. (not the kit box) And learning there were only 50 made in 22 hornet is very interesting.
hrf, hedgehopper62, westkybanded, glabray, v35 I really thank you all for your input.,
happy shootin,'

Great Western really got screwed by Colt who announced they weren't going to restart production of their SAA despite demand from shooters and Hollywood. "They were moving forward, not backward".
Elmer Keith in his book "Sixguns" has a picture of a slick Great Western or Hy Hunter, short barreled SAA with a ribbed barrel. It looked one heck of a lot better than the Ruger with it's blocky front sight and hump where frame meets barrel.0
