AR Walnut Stock

I've done a google search and haven't done well. Does anyone know of a stock maker that does walnet or laminate stocks for the AR?

  In addition to the above, there are a few makers (eg ironwood designs) that used to make these but just don't anymore. Demand is probably pretty low, especially compared to AK stocks and the like.
  
  You might be able to find one used on the auction site here, or another auction site (eg the evil Flea-bay).
  
  Also, there is this (which I agree, is a pretty weak substitute for the real thing):

  Some more looking. . .apparently Ironwood designs has in the past done limited runs of AR-15 wood stocks. It might be worth contacting them and seeing if they ever plan to do it again (you never know. . .they probably would if enough people called and asked about them!). They claim they don't, but maybe they have one left in inventory, or might do a custom one-off one for you.

  I recall at one time seeing an AR set in walnut from Ironwood.

  Thanks for the replies guys. It looks like everyone has quit making them except perhaps for the German folks. At 320 euros, I would have to pass on that one too. Oh well, another idea goes up in flames!

  It wouldn't be too hard to make your own. How are your woodworking skills?? I have considered it, since my daughter likes wood on guns better than black plastic.

  Well, 320 Euros is about $440 at today's exchange rate, and I agree, that's way too much.
  
  I agree with Harold, that building your own shouldn't be too hard (and if you can't/won't do it, I bet in today's economy you could find a carpenter or furniture maker who would love to do the job for you), but on the other hand. . .
