Blemish on 24K gold plating

What might have caused the small bluish spot on the barrel, at the front of the front sight, on this otherwise immaculate gun?
This is a commemorative Colt Cowboy from America Remembers. Spot is not from being heated. This is a velvet cased safe queen. Blemish is on outside only. Blue on sight blade is reflection from dropcloth.

    If the front sight was attached by silver soldering or a similar process and the flux used wasn't cleaned/removed properly. A very tiny amount of residue could have come the surface, causing the problem.

    I wondered about that but, wouldn't a problem like that have been eliminated by Colt after all these years?

    I don't believe this revolver was made by Colt, but by Uberti in Italy. If they shipped it to the States in the white,( unfinished ), the residue from the silver soldering might have been overlooked or should have been caught by the company in the States who plated and engraved the revolver.

    This revolver was made by Colt (S/N TFL5045) and enhanced by A&A Engraving (formerly of Rapid City, SD) and distributed by America Remembers as a Texas Ranger Tribute revolver (#77 of 300).
