Authentic parts for M1 carbine?

Does anyone know of a reliable source for authentic M1 carbine parts? Specifically, sling, oiler, ammo pouch, etc. Also spare metal parts, bolt, trigger group etc.

I know of new manufacture sources but would like to get something that was made within the period of issue.

Your help will be appreciated. dm

    I believe the term you want to use is "USGI parts", not "authentic"; the sellers of bogus parts sometimes use the term "authentic" to describe their reproduction parts.

    You need to buy a copy of "US M1 Carbines Wartime Production" by Craig Riesch so that you will know what you are looking at.

    You might as well might buy a reproduction sling & oiler from CMP; the real ones are difficult to find & expensive, & the odds are that you will buy a reproduction without knowing it. Even a real USGI sling from the Korean War era may not fit your carbne, as those made after WW2 are often too wide to fit.

    Spare metal parts are difficult to find & expensive. Save your money & buy only those you need, as they rarely break. Dealers who have a FEW USGI parts are:

    EDIT: Let me rephrase that last part: Do not buy from anyone in SoCal who sells exclusively on the online auctions, has multiple user names, & sells everything AS IS.

    Edit: nmyers, thanks for the clarification and heads up... a true gentleman! Heard of near the same type of scamming emiting out of Chicago from an e-auction seller with old motorcycle parts. Problem with these yahoos, is it ruins the legit folks. Did not know of the one you spoke of, or would have mentioned it. Californians: we're not all liars, cheats, freaks, and geeks,(contrary to popular belief, hah!), yet it pays to beware, well, everywhere. Take care, 45er. Onward.........

    Same style of service, knowledge, friendliness goes here with owners Paul & Vicky. They are moving to Arizona very soon, and will re-open there with a bigger shop. ---> 818-846-4509 in Glendale, Ca. (for now.)

    Both business' have parts and accouterments, and both will tell you up front if original USGI with absolutely no B.S.ing, even though they at times carry a few non-original items. And I won't B.S. you either, in that some prices maybe higher, but I do know what I am getting.

    Examples:
    From Northidge Intl., I bought a German made bayo for my "#2" M-1 carbine, having already a "1+" original set-up, and was told ahead of whipping out the wallet exactly what it was.

    From MHAA: Bought a copy dust cover for an Arisaka until I found the real-deal, and was told what it was, (though I already knew it). Too, bought at a garage sale a bayo I could not identify. Paul did, and we had a great conversation over it.

    Reliabe? You betcha.

    An aside--- in no way am I afflilated with either,(else why would someone endorse both these two competitors just a few miles apart?), but am merely a very satisfied customer/collector.
