Need Help With Bayo ID

Can anyone give me some insight as to what rifle the below bayo might belong to? The only rifle I have that it fits is on my M1, but I was told it probably does not belong to that rifle.
Any ideas?

  Didn't have time for detail last night, but I think those Jinsen bayo's are amoung the rarer ones. And therefore have some collector interest beyond the more common WW-2 Japanese bayo's.

  Do you think it would be worthwhile auctioning it off by itself? The Arisaka I have is sportered, so the bayo doesn't fit properly anyhow. Thanks.

  Sure. That is unless it was a WW-2 bringback by a vet relitive. Then I would keep it as a family heirloom.

  If it is Japanese, and it appears to probably be, look here. This source should tell you definitively. But, check real close for other less obvious markings!http://www.radix.net/~bbrown/japanese_markings.html

  It is a fairly rare bayo and scabbard, I have one exactly like yours. The wooden scabbard is valuable by itself, but with the proper bayo which you have you should auction the rig by itself.
  On the "other" auction site, it will bring upwards of $150, or has in the recent past.

  Thanks for the above info. I remember finding this bayo in my father attic as a kid, and wondering what type of gun it was from.
  Is there any reason it would not do well on auction on this site as compared to the "other site"?
