ID HELP
Can any one help ID this 22 mag? it only has 1 barrel pin i think it is a savage 4m does anyone have a break down of that? it is early 60's i thnik Thanks

Hello everyone.
My father passed away over a year ago and my mother recently discovered this weapon in what seems to be mostly unused condition
with a large flash guard screwed to it. Here are the details:
sM11-A1 CAL 380
RPB INDUSTRIES, INC.
ATLANTA. GA. U.S.A.
A cobra type symbol in the back top breach side
serial number on same side but towards the front.
Can anyone give some info on this piece.
Also found was a very old lever action rifle with a
brass colored reciever and a ring hooked to the side.

It's a pistol called a MAC 11, dating to the late 1970's early 80's time frame. If it's the "open bolt" model it would have substantial collector demand/value, as the government banned production of firearms with "open bolt" mechanisms in the early 80's. Your's would have been grandfathered because it was manufactured prior to the ban.
It would be best if you could post quality photos of both firearms for more accurate evaluations.0 -

If that turns out to be a Winchester 1866 sadddle ring carbine, it will be a lot more interesting than a fako burp gun.
Well, that's what it is. You need Bert to pronounce on it but it is worth a place in any but the highest end collection. It is well worn and looks like it has some replacement screws, but it is all there including the saddle ring.
Proofhouse.com says it was made in 1871, the biggest year for the model, but Bert has better records and can probably correct or refine that.
Caliber is .44 Henry Flat rimfire, so it is not a shooter, but it is a nice showpiece.
As to the Cobray, you need to find out if the muzzle appliance is a real silencer or a dummy. If it is the real thing, you have some legal problems.0 -
