Win Mod 12-20 GA..
As you may have guessed I own a Winchester Mod 12-20 Gauge. I am curious because it seems that the gun has been double stammped with MOD and FULL over one another. To my knowledge it has never had any work. Could this have happend at the factory? It was built in 1937. I appericate anyones help. Thanks.

Can you post a picture of the overstamp? What choke constriction does it actually have? 0 -
Yeah, I can post a picture of the overstamp. It will be a an hour or so before I can get on uploaded. To be honest I'm not sure what choke construction it truly has. Would you measure the diameter of the opening at the end of the barrel? 0 -
Could it have been a full choke that was opened up to modified by an independent gunsmith? I beleieve that Winchesters standard procedure to put a line through the former choke stamping and stamp the new one directly below or to the side of the old stamping. I'm not sure if this is correct, Maybe someone else knows the factory procedure for this task. And yes, choke is measured by the amount of constriction at the barrel's end.( on the inside of course). 0
