i am new to gunbroker have i made any fatal mistakes in my listing

    Just a couple things. If I were you I would buy a few cheap things to get some positive feedback. I will seldomly buy from a NR seller.

    Second, When you take photos in direct sunlight it leaves dark areas. Your gun has many dark areas that need lit with a flash or indirect lighting. get some closer photos of the markings.

    Hello SKYTEL welcome . I don't see any thing WRONG with your listing You don't state anything that is untrue However I suspect that the N.Y. police dept. would NEVER buy this type of firearm when Colt and S&W made factory Snub Nose revolvers. Most of use buy a firearm for what it is not the story that goes with it. With that said I for one will be surprised if anyone is willing to bid what you have as an opening bid. It looks to me that the grips are post 1968 and made that way to allow importing into the U.S.A after the import restrictions that came along with the 1968 fire-arm act. YMMV

    I have no problem buying from someone with no FB, unless their listing has a weasel clause like yours: "AS IS - no refund or exchange". If you can't give at least a 3 day return guarantee, I assume that there is a problem with the item.

    You failed to indicate if you will accept a C&R. I agree with Perry Shooter that the grips are not original, but, as a seller, you need to know before you list a gun if it is a C&R or not.

    You indicated that you accept Paypal. If Paypal (actually, ebay) finds out that you used it for a gun, your account & the buyer's will be frozen &/or cancelled.

    You also failed to indicate the shipping method. If you plan to ship it yourself, you need to indicate that it will be sent UPS or Fedex Next Day Air. Some buyers will be upset when they find out that shipping will cost $50-70.

    I don't know if the pictures have been photoshopped or not? But the frames on these British military issue Enfield revolvers usually have manufacturers markings and serial numbers. The lack of manufacturers markings doesn't make any difference, but it has to have a serial number.

    Just recently another seller who was new to guns and Gunbroker sold a Colt military revolver that had been altered to remove the serial number. We haven't heard a word from him since. We assume him and his roomie big bubba have set up housekeeping in the federal lockup in armpit Alaska.

    The Enfield #2's should be serialized on the grip frame, the serial numbers should be visible with the grips on. On original Enfield's there will also be serials on the barrel and cylinder. These aren't meaningful as far as U.S. law is concerned, i.e. as long as there is a visible number on frame/receiver, this is considered the revolvers serial number.

    I FOUND THE #ZA110 IN 2 PLACES ONE ON THE MAIN FRAME ON THE FRONT AT THE PIVOT AND ONE SET JUST JUST BELOW THE BARREL ON THE FRONT AT THE PIVOT.COULD THIS SET BE THE SERIAL NUMBERS.
    OR 2G3914 ON THE CYLINDER

    That seems to be a valid serial number as long as it's on the frame/receiver portion of the revolver.

    These were not law enforcement weapons- altho not the first time I ahve heard that. If you would like some more info on your Enfield snubbie, go the NRVoutdoors.com, and scroll down the LEFT side, look for article on Enfield snubbie- tells how these came to be. The caliber of these was .38 S&W (not Special). and was called the .38-200 in it's military load.

    Most of the other issues have been addressed. My question is: Why the discrepancy in items sold vs. positive feedback? You state you have over 425 positive feedbacks on fleabay. It should be more like 1185 or 1195 out of 1200. If that is a typo, I would correct it. I would take you as a good seller if you had those on another auction site if I felt they were legitimate deals. NOT if they were cheap ones intended to build up a reputation. You build trust over time and when you have good deals done.
