Martini-Henry

Going over the markings on my Martini I was able to determine that it was made at the Braedlin Armory and even though it looks exactly like a military model it was a civilian rifle. It has the armory cypher on the left side receiver with the serial number 11XXX under it and then "Martini's Patent" under it. The Martini Patent ack. Monogram is stamped on the right. The barrel on the right side is stamped "Henry's Patent" followed by a number. The left side barrel has the armory stamps and proof marks. The rifle looks to have been very well kept with crisp rifling and I would rate it as NRA VG to EX. condition with very little usage or carry.

Can anyone give me any other information they may know on the above rifle.

  Your best bet would be either a GOOGLE or BING search using "Martini Henry rifles" or similar search terms, for researching information on your rifle, if none of our folks can give you more specific information.
