H&R SB2 in 223

What would the rate of twist be. Tried to look it up but tyeh did not show it on their web site. Or do they have a few rate of twist.

Looking it up for a friend who does not know what he has.

  Also, if you have access to the gun, there is a pretty easy way to directly measure the rate of twist with a cleaning rod and a ruler.

  From their FAQ's, rates of twist are:
  
  .223 1 in 12", late models are a mix of 1:9"/1:12", 2007 Marlin produced barrels are 1:9",
  
  Current production .223 Rem barrels are being made by Marlin with a 1:9" right-hand twist, lands are .219"-.221" and groove is .2240"-.2255". Right now they still have some 1:12" Superlight barrels. (as of 7-5-2007)
  
  If still unsure, I would ask the guys on the above site.
