Hard/dried lube on old cartridges
Just want to get some opinions here - I am new to shooting cast bullets.
I purchased a box of old Kynoch .310 cadet cartridges, and I want to try them in my BSA rifle to compare to my handloads.
These cartridges were originally lubed, but with age the lube has become a hard "crust" that will flake off. So - should I just go ahead and shoot them, or try to remove the old stuff and re-lube with Alox? I don't think that the old stuff can hurt anything, just wondered if it will gum up the barrel, or if the heat will take care of it.

I heard of dipping the bullets in hot paraffin to restore the lube.
Why not try one or two?0
