Cal 7.65 Looking Glass Pistol...
I would like assistance in finding the manufacture and other info regarding the following weapon: A semi automatic pistol marked: Cal 7.65 Model Automatic Pistol "Looking Glass" on the left slide / a Shield topped with a crown and fronted with a large X with the letters PV and a Lion Rampant symbol located next to the shield on the left reciever (the rampant matches the one located just above it on the left slide) / and, stamped Made in Spain on the right reciever with an unidentifiable symbol just above it. If it has a serial number on it then chances are good that it was produced after the end of WWI when US import laws demanded serial numbers on imported handguns (one of the frist federal gun laws). Because of the Spanish Proof Marks on the pistol, manufacture can be dated to the late 20's early 30's time frame, prior to the Spanish Civil War in the mid 30's.
